Festival program

Overview:

Friday
May 9th
  • The bands arrive during the afternoon.
  • Gigs at the nations from 6 pm. Scheduele
Saturday
May 10th
  • Gigs in the town centre 10.30 am to 12 am Scheduele
  • At 1 pm the march starts from Ekonomikumparken.
  • At 2 pm Concerto grosso starts at Parksnäckan and continues until 6 pm. Scheduele
  • Gigs at the nations from 6 pm. Scheduele
Sunday
May 11th
  • Family concert at Parksnäckan 11 am to 4.30 pm. Scheduele

Arrival - Friday May 9th

When arriving to STORK the band shuld check in outside Linnéskolan map from hitta.se). Please note that you do NOT have access to accomodation or instrument storage area before you have cheked in.

Please respect the following time scheduele:

2-3 pm Sossu, Humps, Snösvänget, Luhrarne, Alliancen?
3-4 pm -
4-5 pm AB, ACO, Blåslaget, RAG, Gefla, SMusK
5-6 pm Barocken, Mistluren, Tong, AK, Bleckho. Blåshjuden, PQ, Misstagen, Alliancen?
6-7 pm SOF, Blåset, Schwamp, IB, Kårsdraget


Venues

During STORK 2008 the evening gigs will be concentrated to S:t Larsgatan and the student nations thereabout. Daytime gigs will be on town squares and at Parksnäckan.

Accomodation will be provided in schools, either gym halls or class rooms. Below follows a preliminary for who goes where:

Stage equipment

Please note that there will be NO note stands or cymbals on the stages!

  • Smålands: Drums, base- and guitar amps, P/Asystem: 4 mics for song + some mics for saxes
  • Uplands: Drums, a grand piano and a simple P/A system
  • SNerikes upper floor stage: Drums, base- and guitar amps, P/Asystem: 4 mics for song + 5 mics for saxes
  • SNerikes bottom floor stage: Drums and simple P/A system
  • Kalmar: Drums and simple P/A system
  • V-Dala: Drums, base- and guitar amps, P/Asystem: 4 mics for song + some mics for saxes
  • Parksnäckan: Drums, base- and guitar amps, P/Asystem: 7 mics, electrical piano
  • Town gigs: No equipement. Most of the town venues do ot have electricity, If you prior to the festival haven't recieved word that you should have electricity, bring a megaphone.


Food at STORK

For participting band members dinner and night snack will be served at Norrlands nation. Breakfast will be served at the schools. STORK will provide 'normal' and vegitarian food, but not any other kind of special food. The reason for this is that previous experiences have shown that it doesn't work (people get no, or wrong type of food). Hence, STORK offers a discount (see above) for those who's needs cannot be met. At Norrlands both refrigarator and microwave ovens will be available for thoose who's needs cannot be met, so they may bring their own food and still eat with the rest of the bands. A special ticket will be handed out for this.



Goodies

Sketches of this years merchandise are seen below. Since we do not want a lot of surplus goodies it only possible to pre-order together with application to the festival. There will be no possibility to buy these things at the festival.

T-shirt: ca 8,50€

This years T-shirt has the STORK-logotype printed in color on the front side of an either white or pink fabric. The T-shirt is available in either male (S-XXL) or female (XS-XL) model, see below!
Don't forget to specify which size, model and colour you want!



Applications and cost

It is possible to sign up additional band members until the start of the festival, this will although include n extra fee of ca 5€. Please note that we cannot garantee that there will be any goodies for those signing up late.

The price is calculated as follows.

  • Full price, ca 40 €/person

  • Discounts
  • no lodging or breakfast: ca -15 €
    (personal, intended for Uppsala bands and bus drivers, if you want a Hostel we Uppsala vandrarhem)
  • no food through STORK: ca -4 €/day
    (personal, inteded for persons with allergies, since STORK will be unable to provide food for these)
  • particiaption in the festival only friday or only saturday: ca -10 €

  • Extra
  • Extra fee for late application: ca +5€

Deposition

As for STORK 2006 the bands must, together with the other festival fees, pay a deposit. This deposit is returned if rules at the accomodations are followed. Without the deposition system STORK cannot rent some of the schools used for accomodation. After STORK 2006 all deposition fees were returned to the bands, we hope this will be the case also for the comming festival.



10-year olds

If you have any "10-year olds" we would like to be informed of this in your application so we can send the info to Riks-SMASK. A 10-year old is somebody who has done ten STORK / SOF / SORK in a row. These are honored with a banquet and a medal ceremony. Please note that these events are organized by Riks-SMASK, and all queries in this matter should be directed to thr RS reresentative.
